DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 1100 PM HST (0900 UTC), the center of Hurricane Linda was
located near latitude 17.6 North, longitude 126.4 West. Linda is
moving toward the west near 10 mph (17 km/h). A turn toward the
west-northwest is expected Tuesday night.

(160 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 975 mb (28.80 inches).

HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
SURF: Swells generated by Linda are expected to gradually subside
along the western coast of Baja California Sur during the next day
or two. However, additional longer-period swells not associated
with Linda are expected to reach the coasts of southwestern Mexico
and the west coast of the Baja California peninsula tonight and
Tuesday, and these swells are likely to continue causing
life-threatening surf and rip current conditions. Please consult
products from your local weather office.
