DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Fausto
was located near latitude 23.1 North, longitude 124.2 West.  Fausto 
is moving toward the west-northwest near 17 mph (28 km/h), and this 
general motion is expected to continue through midday today.  A 
turn toward the west and west-southwest with a gradual decrease in 
forward speed is expected to begin this afternoon and continue 
through Tuesday.
 
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 30 mph (45 km/h) 
with higher gusts.  Additional weakening is expected, and Fausto is 
forecast to degenerate into a remnant low later today.  The remnant 
low is expected to dissipate late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
