DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 300 AM MDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Fabio was
located near latitude 12.5 North, longitude 110.1 West.  Fabio is
moving toward the west near 10 mph (17 km/h).  A turn toward the
west-northwest is expected later today, and Fabio is forecast to
gradually accelerate in that direction through late Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Rapid intensification is forecast during the next day or
two, with Fabio expected to become a hurricane later today and a
major hurricane Monday night or Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 994 mb (29.36 inches).
