DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Emilia was
located near latitude 15.4 North, longitude 114.5 West. Emilia is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue for the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with
higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is possible during the next
24 hours before weakening over cool waters begins over the weekend.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
