DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Emilia was
located near latitude 14.9 North, longitude 113.6 West. Emilia is
moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this
general motion with some decrease in forward speed is expected over
the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 24 hours before
weakening begins over the weekend.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
