DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 300 AM MDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Aletta was
located near latitude 14.6 North, longitude 109.2 West. Aletta is
moving toward the west near 7 mph (11 km/h). A gradual turn to the
west-northwest and northwest is expected during the next 2 to 3
days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 65 mph (100 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Some strengthening is forecast and Aletta is
expected to become a hurricane later today or early Friday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 994 mb (29.36 inches).
