DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Aletta was
located near latitude 14.3 North, longitude 108.4 West.  Aletta is
moving toward the west near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue through early Friday.  A slow
west-northwestward or northwestward motion is forecast on Friday
and Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph (85 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Additional strengthening is forecast during the
next few days, and Aletta is expected to become a hurricane by
Friday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 999 mb (29.50 inches).
