DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Norma
was located near latitude 21.9 North, longitude 115.0 West.  The
depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph (11
km/h).  A west-northwest to northwest motion is expected during the
next day or so.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is forecast, and Norma is expected to degenerate into a
remnant low tonight or on Wednesday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
