DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 AM MDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Jova was
located near latitude 20.1 North, longitude 111.2 West.  Jova is
moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h).  A turn
toward the west is expected later today, and the tropical storm
should continue moving westward through early next week.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 h, and Jova is
forecast to become a remnant low on Monday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).
