DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Greg was
located near latitude 14.1 North, longitude 113.6 West.  Greg is
moving toward the west near 10 mph (17 km/h).  A westward to
west-northwestward motion at a slightly faster forward speed is
expected during the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Greg could
be near hurricane strength by late Friday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
