DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Seven-E
was located near latitude 14.3 North, longitude 106.9 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h).
A westward to west-northwestward motion with a slight increase in
forward speed is expected during the next 48 hours. On the forecast
track, the cyclone is expected to move away from southern Mexico.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some gradual strengthening is forecast, and the depression is
expected to become a tropical storm tonight or Tuesday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
