DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 300 AM MDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Tina was
located near latitude 18.7 North, longitude 108.1 West. Tina is
moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h).  A turn
toward the west is expected later today.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is forecast today, and Tina is expected to become a
remnant low tonight or Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).


HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND

RAINFALL:  Tina is expected to produce additional rain accumulations
of 1 to 3 inches over portions of Colima and western Jalisco states
in Mexico through today.
