DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kay was
located near latitude 19.2 North, longitude 112.4 West. Kay is
moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general
motion should continue during the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with
higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next
48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
