DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kay was
located near latitude 18.8 North, longitude 111.7 West. Kay is
moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h) and this motion
should continue during the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Slight strengthening is possible during the next 48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1001 mb (29.56 inches).
