DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Georgette was
located near latitude 13.2 North, longitude 119.4 West. Georgette is
moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h).  A west-
northwestward motion at a slightly slower forward speed is expected
through Sunday, followed by a turn toward the northwest on Monday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph (100 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and
Georgette is expected to become a hurricane on Saturday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 999 mb (29.50 inches).
