DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Estelle was
located near latitude 17.8 North, longitude 115.8 West. Estelle is
moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h) and this
general motion with some increase in forward speed is expected
over the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Some strengthening is possible during the next day or
so, and Estelle is still forecast to become a hurricane tonight or
Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles (260 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 991 mb (29.27 inches).
