DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 300 AM MDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Estelle was
located near latitude 15.6 North, longitude 109.0 West. Estelle is
moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h) and this
general motion is expected to continue for the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Strengthening is forecast during the next 48
hours, and Estelle could become a hurricane on Sunday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
