DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Agatha was
located near latitude 16.6 North, longitude 121.6 West. Agatha is
moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this
general motion with a slight decrease in forward speed is expected
through Sunday night. A turn toward the west is forecast on Monday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is possible tonight or early Sunday, but
weakening is expected to occur Sunday night and Monday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
