DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Enrique was
located near latitude 19.9 North, longitude 135.5 West. Enrique is
moving toward the west-northwest near 8 mph (13 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue today.  A turn toward the
west at a slower forward speed is expected on Friday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is expected during the next 48 hours, and Enrique is
forecast to weaken to a tropical depression today, and become a
remnant low by Friday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
