DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Six-E
was located near latitude 13.6 North, longitude 125.8 West.  The
depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h).
A west-northwestward to northwestward motion is expected during the
next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is expected during the next 48 hours, and the
depression is forecast to become a tropical storm tonight.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).
