Subject: Soliciting Comments on National Hurricane Center
         Experimental Extended Tropical Weather Outlook
         Through November 30, 2013

Effective 800 AM EDT August 1 and continuing through November 30,
2013, the NWS is seeking user feedback on an experimental
Extended Tropical Weather Outlook (TWO)issued by the National
Hurricane Center (NHC).

On an experimental basis the TWO text product produced by the NHC
for the Atlantic and East Pacific basins will include
probabilistic information, in 10-percent increments, about a
systems potential for developing into a tropical cyclone in the
next 120 hours. Currently, the TWO only provides genesis
potential out to 48 hours. The extended forecast and discussion
will be embedded within the current TWO text product on a
disturbance-by-disturbance basis. Each product will include a
prominent statement that the 120-hr genesis forecasts are
experimental.

The text TWO can be found on the web at:

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov

The WMO headers and AWIPS Identifiers (AI) for the text TWO are:

Basin WMO Header AI
Atlantic ABNT20 KNHC MIATWOAT
East Pacific ABPZ20 KNHC MIATWOEP

Feedback concerning this experimental service is welcomed at:
