Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure located about 1000 miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula have become a little more concentrated during the past 24 hours, but the low does not have a well-defined center of circulation. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the next couple of days while the disturbance moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent Forecaster Brown
