For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Blanca, located a few hundred miles south of Cabo San Lucas,
Mexico.

1. A broad area of low pressure is expected to form during the next
couple of days a few hundred miles south or southwest of the
Gulf of Tehuantepec.  Environmental conditions are conducive for
gradual development of this system while it moves slowly
northwestward or northward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent
