DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the eye of Hurricane Fabio was located
near latitude 17.0 North, longitude 119.3 West. Fabio is moving
toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this motion is
expected to continue over the next several days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 105 mph (165 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Steady weakening is forecast, and Fabio will likely weaken
to a tropical storm on Thursday and become a remnant low during the
weekend.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 175 miles
(280 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 968 mb (28.59 inches).
