DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Hurricane Fabio was located
near latitude 14.5 North, longitude 113.0 West.  Fabio is moving
toward the west-northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h).  A slightly faster
west-northwestward to northwestward motion is expected during the
next several days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 90 mph (150 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Additional strengthening is expected over the
next 24 hours, and Fabio is forecast to be a major hurricane
on Tuesday.  Steady to rapid weakening is expected to begin
Tuesday night and that should continue through the end of the week.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles
(260 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 977 mb (28.85 inches).
