DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 900 AM MDT (1500 UTC), the center of Hurricane Fabio was located
near latitude 12.8 North, longitude 110.9 West. Fabio is moving
toward the west-northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h). A slightly faster
west-northwestward motion is expected over the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 75 mph (120 km/h)
with higher gusts. Strengthening is expected during the next day or
two, and Fabio is forecast to become a major hurricane on Tuesday.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 30 miles (45 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles
(185 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 989 mb (29.21 inches).
