DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Darby was
located near latitude 19.9 North, longitude 136.6 West.  Darby is
moving toward the west near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue during the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 65 mph (100 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Gradual weakening is forecast during the
next 24 hours, followed by little change in strength through
Thursday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 994 mb (29.36 inches).
