DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 PM CST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Twenty-Two-E was located near latitude 10.9 North, longitude 104.6
West. The depression is moving toward the west near 20 mph (31
km/h). A decrease in forward speed is expected over the next
couple of days, with a turn toward the northwest forecast by
Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Strengthening is forecast, and the depression is expected to become
a tropical storm on Tuesday with continued strengthening thereafter.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
