AT 500 AM PDT...1200 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ERICK WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 21.7 NORTH...LONGITUDE 109.7 WEST. ERICK IS
MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 9 MPH...15 KM/H.  A NORTHWESTWARD
MOTION IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO...WITH A TURN TOWARD THE
WEST-NORTHWEST EXPECTED ON WEDNESDAY.  ON THE FORECAST TRACK...THE
CENTER OF ERICK SHOULD PASS JUST SOUTH OF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF THE
BAJA CALIFORNIA PENINSULA LATER THIS MORNING.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 50 MPH...85 KM/H...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  GRADUAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.
 
TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 60 MILES...95 KM
FROM THE CENTER.
 
THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 998 MB...29.47 INCHES.
