AT 200 AM PDT...0900 UTC...THE GOVERNMENT OF MEXICO HAS DISCONTINUED
ALL WATCHES.
 
FOR STORM INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO YOUR AREA...INCLUDING POSSIBLE
INLAND WATCHES AND WARNINGS...PLEASE MONITOR PRODUCTS ISSUED
BY YOUR LOCAL WEATHER OFFICE.
 
AT 200 AM PDT...0900Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION LOWELL WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 23.3 NORTH...LONGITUDE 110.1 WEST OR ABOUT 30
MILES... 50 KM...NORTH-NORTHWEST OF CABO SAN LUCAS MEXICO AND ABOUT
65 MILES...100 KM...SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF LA PAZ MEXICO.
 
THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST NEAR 8 MPH...13
KM/HR.  LOWELL IS EXPECTED TO TURN TOWARD THE NORTHEAST LATER TODAY. 
ON THIS TRACK...THE CENTER OF THE DEPRESSION WILL MOVE OVER THE
SOUTHERN BAJA CALIFORNIA PENINSULA THIS MORNING...OVER THE SOUTHERN
PORTION OF THE GULF OF CALIFORNIA BY THIS AFTERNOON...AND INTO
MAINLAND MEXICO TONIGHT.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 30 MPH...45 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  LITTLE CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 24
HOURS...AND WEAKENING IS EXPECTED AFTER LOWELL MOVES INLAND OVER
MAINLAND MEXICO.
 
THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE BASED ON SURFACE OBSERVATIONS
IS 1001 MB...29.56 INCHES.
 
LOWELL IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL THROUGH
TODAY ACROSS SOUTHERN BAJA CALIFORNIA AND ADJACENT PORTIONS OF
THE STATES OF SINALOA AND SONORA IN MAINLAND MEXICO...WITH ISOLATED
MAXIMUM AMOUNTS OF 5 INCHES.  THESE RAINS COULD CAUSE ISOLATED
FLASH FLOODING AND MUD SLIDES...ESPECIALLY IN HIGHER TERRAIN.
 
REPEATING THE 200 AM PDT POSITION...23.3 N...110.1 W.  MOVEMENT
TOWARD...EAST-NORTHEAST NEAR 8 MPH.  MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30
MPH.  MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1001 MB.
