Tropical Storm EUGENE

ZCZC MIATCDEP5 ALL
TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM
TROPICAL DEPRESSION EUGENE DISCUSSION NUMBER 10
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
2 PM PDT WED JUL 20 2005

EARLIER TODAY...A QUIKSCAT OVERPASS INDICATED THAT EUGENE HAD
MAINTAINED A 30-KT CIRCULATION. HOWEVER...THE CYCLONE HAS BEEN
DEVOID OF DEEP CONVECTION FOR MORE THAN 12 HOURS DUE TO THE SYSTEM
HAVING BEEN OVER COOL WATER. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT WINDS HAVE NOW
DECREASED TO 25 KNOTS. EUGENE IS EXPECTED TO DEGENERATE INTO A
NON-CONVECTIVE REMNANT LOW WITHIN 12 HOURS...AS IT MOVES TOWARD THE
NORTHWEST AND WEST-NORTHWEST OVER INCREASING COOLER WATERS.
THEREFORE...THIS WILL BE THE LAST ADVISORY ON EUGENE.
