REPUBLIC... 

AT 5 PM AST...2100Z...THE GOVERNMENT OF THE BAHAMAS HAS ISSUED A
TROPICAL STORM WARNING FOR THE SOUTHEASTERN BAHAMAS AND THE TURKS
AND CAICOS ISLANDS.  A TROPICAL STORM WARNING MEANS THAT TROPICAL
STORM CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED WITHIN THE WARNING AREA WITHIN THE
NEXT 24 HOURS.
 
AT 5 PM AST...2100Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM MINDY WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 19.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE  69.0 WEST OR ABOUT 250
MILES...400 KM...SOUTHEAST OF GRAND TURK ISLAND.
 
MINDY IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 12 MPH ...19 KM/HR...AND
THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO MOVE THE STORM AWAY FROM PUERTO RICO
AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND TO NEAR THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS
IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR  40 MPH... 65 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  SOME STRENGTHENING IS POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
