DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 1000 PM CDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Adrian was
located near latitude 9.5 North, longitude 92.3 West. Adrian is
moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h) and this
general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Additional strengthening is expected during the next
48 hours, and Adrian is forecast to be near hurricane strength by
late Thursday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
