DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Estelle was
located near latitude 15.2 North, longitude 108.3 West.  Estelle is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h).  The
cyclone should move toward the west or west-northwest at a slightly
slower rate of forward speed during the next two days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.  Estelle
could become a hurricane by Sunday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
