DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Agatha was
located near latitude 15.6 North, longitude 118.9 West. Agatha is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this
motion is expected to continue through Sunday.  A turn toward the
west is expected Sunday night and Monday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Some additional strengthening is expected today and
tonight.  Subsequently, Agatha is expected to weaken Sunday and
Sunday night.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
