EIGHT-E. AT 1000 AM PDT...1700 UTC...THE CENTER OF THE NEWLY FORMED
TROPICAL DEPRESSION WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 17.5 NORTH...
LONGITUDE 106.0 WEST. THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR
7 MPH...11 KM/H.  THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS. ON THE FORECAST TRACK...THE DEPRESSION IS
EXPECTED TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE SOUTHWEST COAST OF MEXICO.
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MPH...55 KM/H...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  SOME STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 48
HOURS...AND THE DEPRESSION COULD BECOME A TROPICAL STORM TONIGHT OR
SUNDAY.
