DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Odalys was
located near latitude 13.1 North, longitude 127.7 West. Odalys is
moving toward the northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and an abrupt 
turn toward the east is expected on Tuesday.  A gradual turn toward 
the east-northeast is expected by the middle part of the week 
followed by a turn toward the northeast by the end of the week.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Gradual strengthening is expected to resume on Monday, and Odalys 
is forecast to become a hurricane by mid-week.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
