DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 500 AM HST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lala was
located near latitude 35.8 North, longitude 178.0 West. Lala is
moving toward the north-northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h) and a slow
north-northwestward to northwestward motion is expected over the
next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Gradual weakening is expected during the next couple of days, and
Lala is forecast to become a post-tropical remnant low by late
Thursday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 997 mb (29.44 inches).
