DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lala was
located near latitude 35.2 North, longitude 177.6 West. Lala is
moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h) and a slow
west-northwestward to northwestward motion is expected over the
next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Lala
is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone on Thursday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 995 mb (29.39 inches).
