Recent satellite data indicate that Lidia has continued to rapidly strengthen and has estimated maximum winds near 140 mph (220 km/h). Lidia is now a category 4 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. The minimum pressure is estimated to be 942 mb (27.82 in.). Some additional strengthening is possible before Lidia makes landfall this evening.
