DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 1000 AM CDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression
Twenty-E was located near latitude 13.5 North, longitude 105.0 West.
The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 mph (26
km/h).  A west-northwestward motion with a decrease in forward
speed is expected during the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the
depression is expected to become a tropical storm later today, and
could be near hurricane strength by Monday night.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
