DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ulika was
located near latitude 15.1 North, longitude 138.7 West.  Ulika is
moving toward the north near 7 mph (11 km/h), and a turn toward the
northwest followed by a turn toward the west is expected over the
next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Continued weakening is forecast, and Ulika is
forecast to become a remnant low by Friday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
