DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was
located near latitude 17.3 North, longitude 139.0 West. Ivette is
moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue through tonight.  A turn
toward the west is forecast on Monday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with
higher gusts.  Continued slow weakening is likely, and Ivette
should become a tropical depression on Monday and a remnant low by
Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
