DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was
located near latitude 14.8 North, longitude 128.7 West.  Ivette is
moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h).  The tropical storm
is expected to turn toward the west-northwest at a slightly slower
rate of forward speed by Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
