DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Howard
was located near latitude 21.3 North, longitude 135.2 West. The
post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west-northwest near 16
mph (26 km/h).  This general motion should continue today, with a
turn toward the west expected on Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with
higher gusts.  The post-tropical cyclone should gradually lose
strength over the next few days.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).
