DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Georgette was located near latitude 13.9 North, longitude 122.3 West. Georgette is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h). A turn toward the northwest and a decrease in forward speed are expected on Sunday. Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Some additional strengthening is forecast during the next day or so, and Georgette is expected to become a hurricane by tonight. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).
