DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Georgette was
located near latitude 12.8 North, longitude 118.4 West.  Georgette
is moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h).  A west-
northwestward motion at a slightly slower forward speed is expected
during the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 65 mph (100 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Additional strengthening is forecast during the
next 48 hours, and Georgette is expected to become a hurricane
tonight.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 999 mb (29.50 inches).
