At 300 AM MDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Darby was
located near latitude 15.3 North, longitude 111.5 West. Darby is
moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this general
motion is expected for the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 70 mph (110 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Darby is expected to become a hurricane later
today, with additional strengthening possible through Friday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 998 mb (29.47 inches).
