IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 8 MPH...13 KM/H...AND THIS
GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY.  A
SLOWER WEST-NORTHWESTWARD MOTION IS FORECAST LATE SATURDAY THROUGH
SUNDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 90 MPH...150 KM/H...
WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  ADDITIONAL WEAKENING IS FORECAST DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS...AND CRISTINA IS EXPECTED TO BECOME A TROPICAL STORM

THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 90
MILES...150 KM.  WINDS ARE BEGINNING TO INCREASE ON SOCORRO ISLAND.
AN AUTOMATED MEXICAN NAVAL WEATHER STATION ON THAT ISLAND RECENTLY
REPORTED A WIND GUST TO 43 MPH...70 KM/H.
