During the 2009 hurricane season, NHC will be producing experimental audio briefings (also called podcasts)
when the media pool is activated. The audio feeds will be created in mp3 format, and to increase their accessibility,
links to the mp3 files will be made available through XML/RSS technology. Anyone with an mp3 player and podcasting
software can receive the audio file from the National Hurricane Center.
Additionally, users wanting to download the audio file manually may do so by using their web browser. Traditionally, this task is accomplished by right-clicking the hyperlink and choosing "save file as".
